Stephen (played by Alain Chabat) is a somewhat famous chef with a happy family and a successful career, appearing to be a model for others. However, despite the perfection of his life, Stephen feels a profound emptiness inside, as if there exists a black hole that produces no echo regardless of what is thrown into it. He encounters an artist named Xiu (played by Bae Doona) online, and they hit it off immediately, resonating with each other over life's trivialities and artistic pursuits, resembling soulmates. Eventually, Stephen can no longer be satisfied with just interacting with Xiu online; he decides to travel to South Korea to meet her. However, upon arriving in Korea, Stephen finds that he has lost all contact with Xiu and becomes trapped in the airport, unable to leave.
