The story takes place in a world filled with darkness and cruelty. The protagonist, Johnny (played by Mickey Rourke), is born with a facial deformity and has carried the fate of being unaccepted since childhood. His mother is a drug-addicted prostitute, and her painful and unhealthy lifestyle leads to her early death, leaving Johnny to face the world's brutality alone.After his mother's death, Johnny receives careful care from Mikey. In addition to providing him shelter and love, Mikey teaches him survival skills and criminal expertise. Gradually, Johnny becomes a robber, engaging in various heists with Mikey.
