The 35-year-old middle-aged diplomat Jérôme (played by Jean-Claude Brialy) is a man with deep insight and a sense of humor. About to get married, Jérôme attends a holiday trip hosted by his old friend Aurora (played by Aurora Cornu) as a single man. In the beautiful and tranquil countryside estate, Aurora introduces him to two young girls, Laura (played by Béatrice Romand) and Claire (played by Laurence de Monaghan). The young and beautiful Claire captivates Jérôme's desires. When he sees Claire's boyfriend caressing her knee, he can't help but entertain the thought of touching Claire's knee as well. Directed by international film master Éric Rohmer, the film "Claire's Knee" is one of the series of Rohmer's "Six Moral Tales." The film was nominated for several awards, including Best Foreign Language Film at the 29th Golden Globe Awards in 1972.
