Zack (played by Greg Cipes), Kate (played by Margo Harshman), Reeve (played by Artie Baxter), Vicki (played by Carrie Finklea), and Ashley (played by Kelly Vitz) are students at the same university and decide to vacation in a remote mountain area, hoping to strike it rich by panning for gold. They accidentally get lost and hear a terrifying story while asking for directions. According to the tale, a pair of 15-year-old twins accompanied by their parents came to the area to play but ended up being involved in a horrific bloody murder. The story is frightening, but the young men and women, undeterred, insist on going to the deserted area.
