Story ※May contain spoilers. Ooi Susumu Takao is the eldest son of the Tamami God Sword School and was renowned for his brilliance, but after he brutally killed his fiancée Yoshio Shinnosuke, who was also the assistant instructor, his behavior became erratic. Concerned for his son's madness, his father Takamoto decided to confine Takao in the Kishu Tamami family with four of his friends. Upon learning of Takao's continued violent behavior, including the murder of farmer Seiki Kyubee and the abduction of girl Ume and girl Nao, Takamoto reluctantly decided to send Masaki Hyouei to shorten Takao's life. Hyouei, a childhood friend, went to Kishu to investigate Takao's actions and was surprised to find that the murdered men were all notorious for their womanizing. The rumors of Takao's madness even reached the shogunate, prompting the chief retainer Obito to come to Kishu to kill him. When Hyouei confronted Takao, he revealed a shocking truth: Takao had once been informed by Yoshio that he was an illegitimate child. Since then, Takao had been slashing at notorious womanizers and becoming a good advisor to the troubled daughters of complicated families. Hearing this fact, even the dozen samurai who had drawn their swords lowered them.
