Randall Park will make his directorial debut with the new film "Shortcomings" from Side Street Pictures. The film is adapted from the comic of the same name created by Adrian Tomine, who will also write the screenplay. The original comic focuses on three young Asian American urbanites in the San Francisco Bay Area—Ben Tanaka, Miko Hayashi, and Alice Kim—who navigate a series of interpersonal relationships as they travel across the United States in search of ideal emotional resonance. Set in cafes, bars, and bedrooms, their stories collide and intertwine with raw honesty and sharp humor.
