Dr. Alexander (played by Guy Pearce) is an enthusiastic science lover who has long wanted to prove that time travel is possible, dedicating all his energy to researching a time machine. However, one day, the unexpected death of his fiancée leaves him devastated and he intensifies the development of the time machine, hoping to go back in time to save her life. The time machine is successfully developed, and Alexander travels back to witness the accident that claimed his fiancée's life.
