A five-member gang of fraudsters steals five billion won from a Korean bank, but at the scene of the crime, one member dies and another is arrested. Detective Kim (played by Choi Hyo-jin) is in charge of the case and quickly initiates an investigation into the remaining three members, gradually uncovering the details of the case... Just released from prison, Choi Chang-heuk (played by Park Shin-yang) plans to use bank checks to scam a large sum from the Korean bank. To achieve this, he recruits con artist Mr. Kim (played by Bae Yun-sik), whose gang had previously ruined two teachers' lives four years ago with their schemes. Although Mr. Kim is reluctant to get involved again, he is swayed by Chang-heuk's plan and gathers his old accomplices: the conman "Big Mouth," the violent "Swallow," and the skilled forger "Gasoline," officially forming the five-member gang. Mr. Kim's mistress, Seo Yeon-jung (played by Lim Jin-ah), develops feelings for Chang-heuk over time, and they engage in a flirtatious relationship under Mr. Kim's nose. After Chang-heuk's death at the crime scene, Yeon-jung moves into the bookstore of Chang-heuk's younger brother, Chang-ho, unaware of her true intentions. The shocking truth behind the failure of this heist gradually comes to light...
