This film is adapted from Taiichi Yamada's novel and tells the story of London-based screenwriter Adam (played by Andrew Scott) who偶然遇到了his mysterious neighbor (played by Paul Mescal). Afterward, Adam returns to his childhood home, where he discovers that his long-deceased father (played by Jamie Bell) and mother (played by Claire Foy) are still alive—seemingly the same age they were on the day they died thirty years ago.
