On the set of a bloody horror movie about murdering a husband, an eccentric director is nitpicking. Facing the camera, he begins to present a new story to the audience: near a small town in New Mexico, an escapee, after delaying pursuit with a car accident, is directed to a hotel converted from a church, where several forlorn guests are gathered, and the hotel clerk, Jerilyn (played by Jada Pinkett Smith), is quite impatient with her work.
