It's that time of year again, Christmas. The whole family is busy going out to celebrate the holiday, but in the midst of the chaos, they mistakenly leave the smallest member of the family—8-year-old Kevin (played by Macaulay Culkin)—home alone. Panic ensues for the parents, but they're already far away and helpless. Meanwhile, Kevin is having the time of his life; with the house to himself, he turns it into a "playground." Two recently released burglars set their sights on Kevin's house. As they sneak in, Kevin uses his wits and the "playground traps" he set up to turn the tables on the bumbling thieves, resulting in hilarious antics. Will Kevin emerge victorious in this "game"?
