Set against the backdrop of complete Indian culture, the protagonist Anushka Sharma tells a story of a Western demon in her third production after trying her hand at a road thriller involving murder and a comedy related to ghosts. The daughter of a demon, who narrowly escapes the pursuit of religious forces, survives in the mountains under her mother’s protection until her twenties. After her mother's death, the girl enters the city and is taken in by a kind and introverted man. This is a story of an outsider who is willing to sacrifice everything to integrate into human life and yearns for love. Reflecting on the various female taboos upheld by all religions, and considering that the girl’s mother became pregnant due to coercion, one can't help but sigh: perhaps all women are demons in the eyes of mainstream society. For love, a woman can possess the power to destroy everything; for love, a woman can let go of all hatred; for love, a woman can sacrifice everything, including herself. The world is supported by such demons. Those who strive to eradicate them and the women themselves—who is the real demon? As a low-budget independent horror film, the sound effects, makeup, and scenery are all adequate, above the passing mark. However, if the audience does not find the story as moving as I do, they might feel it is too thin and not stimulating enough. Some audience groups may find it uncomfortable. After all, in this film, the demon daughter with love in her heart is not a true demon; it is the exorcists on the side of justice who are.
