In the horror movie from the 1980s, "10 to Midnight," the aging filmmaker Charles Bronson, who doesn't have the best looks but possesses a strong character, plays a detective who catches a killer that preys on women. Unfortunately, due to lack of evidence, he is forced to fabricate evidence in an attempt to send the murderer to prison. However, this backfires, and after the killer is released, he decides to go after Bronson's daughter for revenge. Why is it that Bronson can’t find evidence against the killer? It turns out that the killer strips completely before committing each murder, making it nearly impossible to find any blood-stained clothes, pants, or shoes. Thus, the antagonist, Gene Davis, spends half the film in the nude. "10 to Midnight" truly achieves “gender equality” in its portrayal of nudity, with both male and female characters exposed. For a star like Gene Davis, who could follow an idol route, taking on "10 to Midnight" seemed a poor choice since not only does he have to appear naked, but his character is also depicted in an extremely negative light, as indicated by the film's box office results. Perhaps from the beginning, he was merely attracted by the fact that it was directed by the renowned J. Lee Thompson, who directed the celebrated black-and-white original "Cape Fear" and "The Guns of Navarone." Unfortunately, sometimes things go awry, and this time, his nudity holds little value!
