When 32-year-old Rain (played by William Tjokro) reflects on the past, he discovers that the story begins on the day when the mysterious Kris (played by Natalius Chendana) stepped in to protect him from being bullied by delinquents in high school. The dominant Kris leads their friendship, staying overnight at Rain’s house and demanding that he cut ties with other friends, while bringing home a different girlfriend each night. As a gay man, Rain struggles to understand Kris's behavior, and Kris's sudden disappearance leaves him in despair. Ultimately, he endures that period and, during a trip to Bangkok, experiences a series of romantic encounters. Many years later, he receives another invitation from Kris, who is now married and settled in Bali. Why does he long for a reunion? This film is the directorial debut of Andri Cung, who attempts to convey the different lifestyles people can acquire from their experiences, which also include the efforts made to avoid falling into irreparable situations. Besides the melancholic narration and several dramatic closed scenes, most of the film displays sharp, passionate, and sincere emotions, with commendable performances. The steady three-act structure and high-quality audiovisual language enhance the film significantly, while beneath it lies seduction and emotional tension.
