The film tells the story of Arong (played by Leslie Cheung), Jiabao (played by Danny Chan), and Jiahui (played by Paul Chung) as they pursue their dreams and grow. Arong, Jiabao, and Jiahui are friends from school, and after graduation, they each make different choices in their lives. Arong comes from a poor background and is naturally rebellious; he experiences various hardships in life, and his conflicts with friends gradually fade away.
