David Slade (Hannibal) will direct the new film [Dark Harvest] for MGM, based on the horror novel of the same name. The screenplay is written by Michael Gioulakis (Dungeons & Dragons). The story takes place on Halloween in 1963, revolving around a character known as the "October Boy." Every Halloween, he rises from the cornfields with a butcher knife and walks toward the town. Whether as hunter or prey, the "October Boy" is the prize of the annual life-and-death ritual. Peter knows that killing the "October Boy" is his only chance to escape this dead-end town. He is willing to put his life on the line to win. But before the night ends, Peter will discover the terrifying true secret of the "October Boy."
