A little turtle named Sammy (voiced by Billy Unger) finally emerges from his shell, but he cannot escape the sand pit. In moments of despair, Sammy is captured by a seagull and is about to become its snack. Amid the chaos, he meets a beautiful girl named Shelly (voiced by Isabelle Fuhrman). From then on, he floats towards the center of the ocean on a piece of driftwood, where he meets his lifelong best friend, Ray. Over the next 50 years, the two little buddies travel the world on their broken plank, witnessing the beautiful wonders of the ocean and experiencing the irreparable damage humans inflict upon it for their own desires; their adventures never end…
