The film is adapted from the true story of Solly Perel, a 13-year-old German Jewish boy who shares a birthday with Hitler. It tells the amazing story of how Solly survived during World War II through quick thinking and extraordinary coincidences, ultimately reuniting with his brother in a concentration camp. In the film, young Solly is a member of the Soviet Komsomol, a war hero for the German army, a member of the Hitler Youth, and even falls in love with a pure Aryan girl. However, the special mark of Jewish identity—the circumcision—constantly reminds him of who he is. From indifference and confusion to resentment, the war puts tremendous pressure on him that is not commensurate with his age, but in the end, he embraces his heritage and does not hesitate to have his son circumcised as an adult.
