In the United States, over 1/3 of women have experienced sexual assault, and 80% have gone through trauma syndromes. One day in the Southern U.S., a Black girl named Renesha is sexually assaulted after a party. When she decides to seek help, she finds herself helplessly lost in the complex medical administration and judicial system. Her once sweet and stable romantic relationship seems to be tested. This film uses extremely realistic cinematography to recreate the experiences of many women who have been harmed, reflecting the psychological fears and indescribable confusion that women endure in the process. The intricately arranged plot not only touches on the core issues raised by the #MeToo movement but also extends the discussion to gender relationships, patriarchy, the flawed medical system, and America's long-standing racial issues. Beneath the director's precise narrative surface lies a multitude of impactful emotional bombshells.
