Second-year junior high school student Shuuichi Kishimori (played by Kazunari Ninomiya) lives with his mother Tomoko (played by Kumiko Akiyoshi) and sister Haruka (played by An Suzuki). Shuuichi's father died in a car accident when he was young. Ten years ago, his mother remarried Takashi Sengane (played by Kansa Yamamoto), but this marriage ended due to Sengane's violent tendencies. One day, Sengane returns to the Kishimori household. Shuuichi discovers that his mother seems to have some hidden worries and is unwilling to drive Sengane away. On the other hand, Sengane appears to have improper intentions toward Haruka. Feeling helpless and resentful towards his stepfather, Shuuichi decides to buy potassium carbonate online, planning to eliminate Sengane without a trace. His plan is successfully executed, but he becomes increasingly entangled in the situation... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Yusuke Kishi.
