Exam candidate Yonghao (played by Kang Ha-na) has already experienced two consecutive failures, and now he is under immense pressure as he prepares for the third exam. This monotonous and routine life makes Yonghao feel suffocated; in his despair, he thinks of his long-lost friend, Su-yeon. Wanting to know about her recent situation, Yonghao writes a letter to Su-yeon, and unexpectedly, he receives a reply shortly after. In fact, Su-yeon's situation is much worse than Yonghao's—she not only failed to get into her desired university but is also suffering from a serious illness and can only stay home for recovery. The letter Yonghao received was actually sent by Su-yeon's sister, Soo-hee (played by Choi Yeon-hee), who impersonated her sister. As they continue to exchange letters, Soo-hee and Yonghao develop a deep friendship, seeing each other as the only hope in their lives.
