The prominent wealthy businessman Takayoshi Ichihara (played by Sōichirō Kitamura) has passed away, and his relatives gather at the high-end Japanese inn "Corridor Pavilion" to hold the seven-day mourning ceremony. Of course, their main concern is the distribution of his inheritance. Each person harbors ulterior motives, eager to gain the maximum benefit while being particularly wary of others' schemes, making familial bonds seem insignificant. At this critical moment, a mysterious and beautiful woman suddenly appears before the Ichihara family. She claims to be Miyako Honma (played by Takako Tokiwa), the daughter of an elderly woman who had a deep connection with the deceased. In the dead of night, those greedy individuals dreaming of wealth do not receive their inheritance but instead encounter the arrival of death. Broken love, ruined lives, and the seeds of malevolence they once sowed begin to sprout at the Corridor Pavilion. This film is adapted from the original novel by Keigo Higashino.
