Two young girls, one born in Poland and the other in France, sharing the same appearance and age, also have the same name: Véronique. They both love music and have sweet voices. The Polish Véronique is very fond of singing and excels in high notes. She feels that she is not living alone in this world, and one day she unexpectedly encounters a girl who looks exactly like her. However, she tragically dies of a heart attack on stage during a performance.
