Paleontologist David Huxley (Cary Grant) is on cloud nine as he prepares to marry his girlfriend and has just obtained a dinosaur bone after much effort; the museum is also set to receive a donation from Mrs. Random. However, his good fortune seems to come to an "end" the moment he meets Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn). Susan, a rich girl, has just received a leopard named "Bbay" from her brother in South America, which she is supposed to take to her aunt. Susan insists that David is a zoologist and drags him along to bring Baby to her aunt’s home in Connecticut. Along the way, they get into all sorts of comedic trouble, and upon reaching her aunt's house, David discovers that Susan's aunt is Mrs. Random (May Robson), who seems to be unimpressed with David, putting the donation in jeopardy. To make matters worse, the dinosaur bone appears to be missing along with Baby. On one hand, Susan, who has fallen in love with David, is doing everything she can to prevent him from going back to marry his girlfriend, while on the other hand, David is eager to return, and things are becoming increasingly complicated and amusing...This film was selected as one of the American Film Institute's top 100 American films.
