The story unfolds over the course of one night. Ordinary worker Miyata (played by Yasuhito Nakamura) lives a simple and mundane life, commuting to and from work every day. After being cheated on and dumped by her boyfriend, Junki (played by Rika Kirishima) leaves their shared apartment and, in a state of despair, encounters private detective Kanda (played by Satoshi Yamanaka) and Miyata at a restaurant. The kind-hearted Miyata takes the homeless and heartbroken Junki to his home to stay temporarily, developing feelings for her and wanting to pursue a deeper relationship. However, his ex-girlfriend Ame (played by Yuka Itagaki), who had broken up with him six months prior, suddenly appears. Detective Kanda and Ame become involved in a secret transaction connected to a large sum of money lost by the mafia boss Asai (played by Norisuke Yamashita), entangling several individuals in the process. As the truth slowly emerges, the fates and true natures of the five characters are laid bare overnight.
