On April 30, South Korean actor Hyun Bin's first project after his military discharge is set to be the historical film "Reverse Scale," in which he plays the young King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty. Although there have been many dramas and films themed around kings, Hyun Bin aims to portray the distinct king "Jeongjo" through a more resilient and commanding presence in "Reverse Scale." The title "Reverse Scale" refers to a piece of scale on a giant dragon that is untouchable; once it is touched, it instantly emits infinite dragon might, representing the monarch's wrath. It subtly expresses Jeongjo's mindset at the time when he needed to uphold royal power in the midst of the clash between the old and new factions.
