Ye Yingwen (played by Cheng Yu Ling) is a shrewd and capable lawyer renowned in the industry, while Fang Wei (played by Wan Zi Liang) is a senior inspector at the prosecutor's office. Although they are a couple, their opposing careers often lead to conflicts. Photographer Tian Diwen (played by Lin Jun Xian) is accused of rape and, insisting on his innocence, hires Ye Yingwen to defend him. Fang Wei is very dissatisfied with Ye Yingwen's inability to distinguish between good and evil, but Ye Yingwen firmly believes that until the facts are established, everyone is innocent. The victim is a beautiful model named Ling Zu'er (played by Wang Zu Xian), whose mental state has been pushed to the brink of collapse by the case. Shan Shan (played by Liu Mei Jun), Ling Zu'er’s sister, devises a scheme to force Tian Diwen to yield and obtain incriminating evidence, but her cleverness backfires. As the final trial is about to begin, Ye Yingwen discovers crucial evidence that could overturn all previous conclusions.
