This is a modern police and gangster film based on real events, which portrays a shining image of a contemporary people's policeman that is authentic, credible, and respectable. 彭宝林 - Retired in 1987, he later served as an economic police officer at the Huizhou County Industrial and Commercial Bank, and in 1991, he voluntarily requested to be transferred to the Laojie Police Station in Huizhou County as a police officer. Throughout his work, Peng Baolin was strict with himself and caring towards the public. On May 14, 1993, while performing his duties, Peng Baolin unexpectedly encountered the wanted criminal and Hong Kong mafia leader Qu Yaohuang. The armed gangster threatened hostages and refused to surrender. Despite being seriously injured, Peng Baolin engaged in a fierce battle with the criminal and ultimately killed him.
