Philippe (Bryan Cranston) is a wealthy millionaire who becomes paralyzed from the neck down due to a paragliding accident. Now, he lives a reclusive life in his luxurious villa, spending his wealth in solitude. On the advice of a friend, Philippe decides to hire a personal assistant to help with his daily needs. Shortly after the job announcement is made, a young man named Dell (Kevin Hart) appears before him. Dell is not exactly a clean character; he is facing a terrible situation of losing custody rights to see his child because he cannot pay alimony to his ex-wife. Dell, who is brash and outspoken, quickly catches Philippe's attention. Despite everyone believing the young man is unreliable, Philippe decides that Dell is the one.
