On the surface, Qiao (played by Zhu Yin) is an ordinary psychology student, but in reality, she has the extraordinary ability to communicate with spirits. By chance, Qiao encounters an old man named Situ (played by Roland), who is a rice question practitioner. Upon learning about Qiao's special ability, she decides to pass on her knowledge to her. In order to persuade Qiao to become her successor, Situ takes Qiao's soul to the underworld, where Qiao unexpectedly meets a vengeful spirit named A Qian (played by Zhang Wenci). It turns out that A Qian is the wife of a triad boss, A Wu (played by Yin Tianzhao), who was killed in a fire as a result of revenge for her husband's enemies. Filled with resentment, A Qian possesses Qiao and returns to the living world to seek vengeance against A Wu. Just at that critical moment, a traffic police officer named A Qi (played by Qian Jiale), who learns the truth, arrives in time to prevent another tragedy.
