In the brutal Chicago battle years ago, the Autobots successfully repelled the Decepticon invasion, but also lost the trust and respect of humanity. The "Cemetery Wind" team, formed by the CIA, launched indiscriminate hunts against all Transformers, causing both Autobots and Decepticons to vanish from Earth. One day, Cade Yeager (played by Mark Wahlberg), a down-and-out mechanical inventor living in Texas, buys an old truck cab, only to discover it is the dormant leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime. The Cemetery Wind team senses the presence and rushes in; upon awakening, Optimus saves Cade's family and makes contact with scattered Autobots.
