This film revolves around aging music producer Allen James (played by Rip Torn) and Laura, a Russian woman thirty years his junior (played by Dina Korzun). It tells the story of their dark and twisted heartbreaking romance. To immigrate to the United States, Laura marries Allen, who is twice her age, and they maintain a respectful but emotionally distant relationship. This causes Laura to become increasingly melancholy, even losing her passion for life. Until an unintended visit from Allen's estranged son, Michael James (played by Darren Burrows), suddenly rekindles Laura's feelings of romance. As Laura's relationship with Michael heats up, her guilt intensifies. She feels she has betrayed Allen, the man who provided her with a new life—one she never even dreamed of before. Faced with such a twisted and strange love triangle, Laura is uncertain of her path. This film won the Best Dramatic Feature at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, and lead actress Tina Korzun received a nomination for Best Female Lead at the 2006 Independent Spirit Awards.
