In the early 1990s, the Cold War between East and West came to an end with the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The newly established Russia inherited the problems of the previous regime, and its economy was in complete collapse. Amid this chaos, a group of sharp-minded Chinese individuals transformed into "international traders" during the early days of China's reform and opening-up.
