Yan Yu, an elderly woman in her seventies portrayed by Nobuko Miyamoto, becomes a recluse after the death of her husband. In her loneliness, she opens a calligraphy class to ease her solitude. One day, she wanders into a bookstore and becomes captivated by a manga titled "Just Want to Stare at You Forever." As she delves deeper into the story, she unexpectedly discovers that it is about the love between two men! Though it contrasts sharply with her prior beliefs, she finds herself drawn to the plot. The strange old woman, who is immersed in BL manga, catches the attention of a high school girl working in the bookstore named Rei Sayama, played by Mana Ashida. Rei is shy and hardly interacts with her classmates, keeping her interest in BL manga a secret. However, with the arrival of Yuki, these two women with a shared interest become unlikely friends across generations. This film is adapted from the manga of the same name by Kaori Tsukiya.
