Two close friends, Hana (Akiyo Suzuki) and Alice (Yu Aoi), have grown up together since childhood, but they have very different personalities. Alice is lively and active, chasing after love, while Hana is inherently shy and doesn't dare to talk to the boys she likes. While accompanying Alice every day as she pursues a college boy she's fallen for at first sight, Hana secretly develops feelings for Miyamoto, who often accompanies that boy. Hannah and Alice both get accepted into the same high school as Miyamoto, and Hana manages to become a member of the comic dialogue club that Miyamoto is in. An unexpected incident causes Miyamoto to suffer from temporary "memory loss," and Hana seizes the opportunity to pretend that she is the girl Miyamoto once confessed his love to, leading to a faux romance. As the lies multiply to a point of becoming uncontrollable, Hana, in a moment of desperation, drags Alice into the charade, not realizing that she has become a "third wheel."
