In a certain emerging industrial city Y in the Chubu region, Jiro Tezuka was employed at the Mishima Department Store. His catchphrase was, "I want to rise in rank. I want money." One day, he met a woman named Harumi who was working as a waitress at a drive-in. Knowing that she was looking for girls to accompany her at the bar "Sō," Jiro introduced Harumi to "Sō." Since "Sō" was managed by the president's daughter of Mishima Department Store, Saoko, Jiro intended to win Saoko's favor by introducing Harumi. Harumi began staying at Jiro's boarding house.
