After being released from prison, Hong Jong-do (played by Hwang Jung-min) is shunned by his family. He was sentenced to prison solely to take the blame for his brother's crime. Heartbroken and disillusioned, he visits the family of a car accident victim and meets the victim's daughter, Han Gong-ju (played by Moon So-ri) – a severely disabled person with cerebral palsy, twisted in appearance and suffering from spasms. However, Jong-do is drawn to her and makes a bold move in a moment of impulse. After an unexpected incident, they both develop feelings for each other, and their lonely hearts gradually draw closer. They appear to be abnormal individuals with compromised physical and mental health, yet they face the naked reality of injustice. Nevertheless, fate continues to offer them opportunities for mockery.
