As summer approaches, Parisian woman Delphine (Marie Rivière) finds herself engulfed in sadness and frustration. She has just ended a relationship with her ex-boyfriend, and the girlfriend she was supposed to go on vacation with has stood her up. Despite many kind friends and family inviting her to join their holidays, she declines each offer. While everyone else has their vacation plans, she seems destined to spend a long summer alone in Paris. Wandering around in search of her lover, she finds no one who can ignite her heart. At the seaside in Marseille, she hears the legend of the green light: whoever sees the green light will find happiness. Feeling desolate, she plans to return to Paris, and at the station, a man smiles at her as she reads the novel "The Idiot." Delphine seems to sense something and invites the man to watch the sunset by the sea. In the brilliant light, the man confesses his feelings, but she stubbornly waits for the green light before giving her answer. This film won the Golden Lion at the 43rd Venice Film Festival.
