The so-called legend is often inscribed in history, a miraculous existence that ordinary people cannot comprehend. In 1982, a band formed by high school students called X was born. The two core members, lead singer Toshi and drummer Yoshiki, harbored wild and grand musical dreams. Youth was their capital, and talent their foundation. Surrounded by roaring amplifiers and fueled by alcohol, flames, and even violence, X appeared as a powerful cave of magic, attracting like-minded and talented musicians to join them. Besides the two founders, lead guitarist hide, bassist Taiji, and rhythm guitarist Pata successively joined, becoming the initial lineup of X Japan that fans would come to know well. From the underground album "Vanishing Vision" to "Dahlia," X Japan's music matured increasingly, giving birth to one classic hit after another. However, great achievements are often accompanied by hardships and even tragedies—injuries, conflicts, disbandments, deaths, and so on, staining this legendary band with an indelible mark of blood, which may be the price a legend must ultimately pay.
