Art (Bruce Willis 饰) is an FBI agent who, unfortunately, despite his outstanding abilities and unconventional personality, does not earn the recognition of his superiors and finds himself facing demotion. In one operation, Art's mission is to find a nine-year-old boy named Simon (Miko Hughes 饰); however, a group of ruthless killers arrives at Simon's home before Art does, brutally murdering Simon's parents, while the boy narrowly escapes by hiding in the closet. It turns out that, despite his young age, Simon has made significant achievements in mathematics, and inadvertently, he deciphered a military intelligence code, which has brought him into great danger. Art rescues Simon, but the danger does not let go of them, and amid continuous pursuits, will Art be able to successfully lead Simon out of peril?
