Yayong (played by Jeong Eun-chae) and Jun-ho (played by Lee Dong-hwi) are a couple who have been together since their university days. Yayong, who has a great passion and talent for painting, chooses to work at a real estate agency to support Jun-ho in his public service exams, forcing herself to smile every day while feeling mentally and physically exhausted. In contrast, Jun-ho, despite taking the exams year after year, always fails to succeed. After seven years of this, he not only faces disdain from his classmates but also loses Yayong's confidence in him. One day, Jun-ho, who lies about studying but is actually playing games at home, is caught by Yayong, leading to a heated argument resulting in him being kicked out of the house. With no means of support other than his girlfriend, Jun-ho is forced to take on odd jobs to survive, during which he meets Anna, a girl who has just broken up with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Yayong goes on numerous blind dates but never meets the right person, until one day a certain man catches her attention. Once, we loved each other so much; how could we have thought that one day we would become strangers...?
