Last year's French election was very heated, with Socialist François Hollande narrowly defeating Nicolas Sarkozy; for news reporter Laetitia, busy interviewing on the streets, Election Day was even more thrilling. To prevent her obsessive ex-husband Vincent from getting close to their daughter, sending a big guy from downstairs was only a temporary solution. She made a "death-defying" decision to have the timid male nanny take two still-potty-training toddlers to a rally with thousands of people. The tension comes from the roles of the nervous crowd and the unfolding chaos on the streets. The film's uniqueness lies in its clever blend of documentary and narrative, capturing the overwhelming crowds and narrow alleyways, showing characters navigating dangerous situations; it is both a dramatic portrayal of peril and a distinct comedic chaos.
