Adapted from the novel of the same name by Kazetani Shoji. The leader of the Kansai gang, the Domoto group, with twenty thousand members, suddenly passes away, and according to his will, the organization selects Kakizuma (Iwao Masataka) as the heir to the leadership. Discontent with this decision, Kurakawa Ejiyo (Hikita Yasumori) and his followers break away to form the Tomorokai to oppose it. The wife of Awazu group's leader, Awazu Tamaki (Iwashita Shima), firmly pledges allegiance to the Domoto group and rejects the invitation from Tomorokai's Koiso Akimasa (Narita Mikio).
