Adapted from the original work by Chikamatsu Monzaemon. The mistress of the Osaka oil shop Toyoshimaya, Aki (played by Kanako Higuchi), previously worked at another oil shop, Kawanoya, and served as the wet nurse for the shop owner’s second son, Hyohei (played by Shinichi Tsutsumi).
