Ruriko (played by Miki Nakatani) is an art worker specializing in teddy bears. She has been married to her husband Sō (played by Nanto Ohmori), who works at an IT company, for over three years, and they appear to be an enviable couple. However, in reality, this seemingly happy couple leads a life of parallel dreams. This unspoken separation has lasted for two full years: during the day, Sō goes to work while Ruriko creates teddy bears at home; at night, Sō retreats to his room to play various games, and Ruriko relies on her phone to reach him when she needs him. More importantly, their intimate life as a couple is almost nonexistent, as each has a secret lover on the side and they concoct various little lies to maintain the illusion of a sincere and sweet marital relationship. Both seem to realize the seriousness of the situation, but this spiritual bond stripped of physical desire has become so strong under Ruriko's careful nurturing. What will be the outcome of this rubbery marriage...? This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Japanese author Kaori Ekuni.
