Daisy (Julia Roberts) has always hoped to change her life circumstances through marriage, little did she know that a wealthy suitor is not that easy to catch. Before her dreams come true, she must learn to avoid various traps. Kate (Annabeth Gish) lives a self-sufficient life and takes on a temporary babysitting job to make money, unexpectedly falling in love with the male host. Jiao Jiao (Lili Taylor) wants to fully enjoy the sweetness and happiness of being in love, but is unwilling to bear the burdens and responsibilities that marriage brings, which frustrates her boyfriend who is eager to walk down the aisle with her. The three distinctly different girls gather at the magical pizza place to become waitresses there.
