48-year-old Mr. Inusato (played by Fumiyo Kohinata) is an employee of a pet supply manufacturing company. A year ago, he was dispatched by the company to promote products at a supermarket on a small island. Mr. Inusato is kind and warm-hearted, which contrasts sharply with the laid-back store manager, Rentaro (played by Tetsuhiro Ikeda). However, in his personal life, he is someone who dislikes dogs. When a quality issue arises with a pet soap that Rentaro is responsible for, Mr. Inusato and his subordinate (played by Haruka Kiminami) visit customers to apologize. During this time, he is able to return home after a year away. To his surprise, his family has secretly acquired a white Shiba Inu dog during his absence. Mr. Inusato feels both nervous and troubled, especially since his family keeps creating opportunities for him to be alone with the dog. From being flustered at first to gradually developing affection, the heart of this middle-aged man quietly changes, and his work also starts to improve.
Kind-hearted Mr. Inusato's smile becomes even brighter…
