A French war correspondent, journalist Elsa (Diane Kruger) and her colleague are kidnapped by the Taliban during an interview in Pakistan. The Taliban releases videos of captured Elsa online, claiming that within a specified time, she will be executed on camera, allowing the entire world to witness the event. Before Elsa's execution, a rescue team composed of special forces members is dispatched by the French military to save her. Facing the extremely brutal Taliban militants, the rescue team bravely saves Elsa at the first opportunity but loses contact with headquarters, forcing them to initiate a more treacherous defense. An inevitable tug-of-war escape unfolds between the Taliban pursuers and the rescue team. The Taliban sets various traps, failing to capture the rescue team entirely, while the rescue team has only one goal: to successfully rescue Elsa and escape the area.
