Maria (played by Honami Suzuki) has a sister, Nana (played by Sachiko Sakurai), who is blind due to an eye disease. To raise money for her sister’s medical treatment, Maria, who works at the post office during the day, has to work at a nightclub after hours. By chance, Maria becomes the sole witness to a car accident. The injured man from the accident is Takamura (played by Hiroshi Mikami), whose head injury results in memory loss. Kind-hearted Maria allows Takamura to stay in her home. One day, Nana encounters a robber named Misaki on the street. Misaki believes Nana has seen his face and decides to kill her to eliminate a witness but then unexpectedly discovers Nana's eye condition, causing him to feel compassion. Meanwhile, Maria meets a wealthy heir named Yuichi (played by Etsushi Toyokawa) at the nightclub, who pursues her passionately.
