The story continues in September 1945, just after World War II has come to an end, and the whole world is joyfully welcoming a long-awaited time of peace. At this time, Sebastian (played by Félix Bossuet) has grown into a 10-year-old boy, living with his little dog Belle and his grandfather César (played by Tchéky Karyo) in a cabin in Saint Martin. Two years ago, Sebastian's best friend Angelina (played by Margaux Châtelier) went missing during the war, when the plane she was on crashed in the vast snowy fields of the Alps.
